Newest Product....Clip 'n Sticks!!!

My latest product is now in production!  YEAH!!

Clip 'n Sticks are available in 3 - 12 letters and are
reasonably priced at $9 per letter.
Clip 'n Sticks can be customized while you wait
so they are great for last minute gifts as well
as birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, Father's Day,
weddings - just about any occasion!

Come see me this Saturday, 10/2, at the Madison Street Festival.
The weather is supposed to be
perfect, so it will be a great day to
get out and browse through all the vendors
there.  This is myfirst year to do this festival but from
what I understand, they have about 50%
more vendors this year than last year.
So bring your family and come on out!

Update on latest happenings

I have been very busy the last several weeks with my Everyday Alphabet Pics and have a lot of exciting events coming up.

In July, I was thrilled to be invited by Andrea Guthrie of Zazzy's to go to Atlanta Market with her.  WOW!  What an experience!  I made a lot of great contacts and am currently working with them to hopefully get my pictures into stores all over the country.  One particular person I met has connections with Lifeway, Cracker Barrel and many others.  I have learned so much from the contacts I've made and I feel like God is opening doors that I never could have imagined.

I have a new product that I will post pictures of soon!  Clip Frame Art!  This gives me the ability to create a custom piece that you can take home with you on the spot.  Very clean, modern & simple.  I think you will like what you see.  Be looking for those pictures to be posted soon.

Fall is booking up quickly.  Below is a list of places you can find me over the next few weeks.  Of course, I am still booking Home Parties and if you would like to have one, let me know and we will set a date!!

Saturday, 9/11 - Trunk Show @ Zazzy's on Airport Rd.
Saturday, 9/18 - Fall Shopping Bazaar @ Monrovia Community Center
Saturday, 10/2 - Madison Street Festival
Wednesday, 10/6, 10/13, 10/20 - Fund Raiser @ three locations of First Commercial Bank

In between all of these dates I have several home parties booked and still have room to book more.  Remember that as a host you receive FREE product as well as 15% of your total sales toward your purchase.  Think about those Christmas gifts you are going to need to buy.  It will be here before you know it!!

On a personal note, we are thrilled that we are expecting our 4th grandson in January and that we will be gaining two daughter's-in-law in 2011!

Thanks for all of your support!

Ascribing Artists Exhibit

I have been honored the last few weeks to meet some incredible people in the art community. As a result, I have been invited to join the Ascribing Artists ministry and to be a part of their exhibit at Reflectives Frame and Art Gallery in Hampton Cove! I am excited about this opportunity to have my work displayed and look forward to more events like this. If you have a chance, visit the gallery and see the work of local artists that honor God in their life and through their work.

Ascribing Artists Exhibit: A Work of Heart

Reflectives Frame & Art Gallery, 220 Old Highway 431, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763

April 1st - 30th, 2010. Reception and Art Talk April 11th, 2 to 4 PM

Ascribing Artists is a creative ministry bringing together visual artists who desire to ascribe or attribute their work and life to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The ministry is inspired by Psalm 29:2, "Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name" and shows that we are to be "A Reflection of His Glory" in all that we do.

Not all Ascribing Artists paint religious themes or Biblical depictions. The subject matter of the artist is not necessarily what makes us Ascribing Artists, it is the heart behind the artist with the desire to share the gospel. We recognize that anything we do pales in comparison to the Glory of the Lord, so our desire is not to offer something that deserves praise, but to point you to the only ONE worthy of praise.

As interest continues to grow for the Everyday Alphabet Pics I have been taking, I thought I would start a blog to keep you informed of different things I am involved in. This has been an amazing journey so far and I am excited about what the future holds with this new business.

You can view all of my alphabet pics by clicking on one of the links above. Please send a link to this blog to all of your friends. This is, of course, a work in progress and I hope to have it where you can place orders, etc.

I did my first craft fair last weekend at Trinity Marketplace which was held at Trinity United Methodist Church on Airport Rd. in Huntsville. It was a very successful event and I plan on participating in other events similar to this throughout this coming year. I will keep you posted on where I will be!

I have attended a couple of workshops this past week to help me set up and grow my business. First was the tax workshop held at the Huntsville Chamber of Commerce on Thursday. (I know, very exciting, but necessary.) I learned a lot there about how and when to file my taxes and what forms to use. I also made some great contacts that I can go to with questions.

Saturday morning I attended an Art Marketing workshop in Athens that was sponsored by Art on the Square. I received TONS of valuable information at this workshop. Gina Hurst, an art consultant that I had had the privilege of meeting and consulting with before yesterday, was the featured speaker. There were about 50 artists in attendance and Gina gave us some great tips on how to get our art "out there"! Trisha Black, who is involved with the Spirit of Athens as well as Art on the Square gave a presentation on "The Art of Social Marketing". Social media is here to stay and is a great way to market our businesses. Overall I would give this workshop an A+. I did some great networking and learned a lot about the art community.
